Joseph C. Boggs

May 07, 2024 - May 14, 2024

Joseph C. Boggs

In loving memory of Joseph C. Boggs, who passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at the age of 62. Joseph, known to many as Joe, leaves behind a legacy of hard work and dedication to others who touched the hearts of all who knew him.

Born and raised in the city of Pittsburgh, Joe was a true son of the Steel City due to his love for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Throughout his life, his skilled craftsmanship and commitment to excellence earned him the respect of his peers and clients alike. His work graces countless homes and buildings throughout the Savannah area, a testament to his talent and dedication to his craft.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Joe had a passion for fast cars, particularly his beloved Corvette. He found solace and joy through his car, embodying the spirit of freedom and adventure Joe showed throughout his lifetime. Joe was a gifted athlete who excelled in many sports including tennis, skiing, and golf.

Above all else, Joe cherished his family and friends. He was a father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend whose love knew no bounds. He was also a lifetime lover of dogs, he saw them as family, specifically Tybee Boggs. His unwavering devotion enriched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Joe's memory will be forever cherished by his children Liam and Shea Boggs, his mother, Patricia Boggs, his sister, Nancy Boggs, his grandchild, Wilmington Boggs, and all those who were touched by his love. Though he may be gone, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

A celebration of Joe's life will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 18, at Skidaway Community Church. In place of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society for Greater Savannah.

Rest in peace, Joe. Your laughter and your love will never be forgotten.

GUEST BOOK

Liam & Shea, very sorry to hear of the passing of your father. We pray that God will comfort and bless you in the days and weeks ahead. Met Joe in the Good News Sunday School class at Isle-of-Hope UMC and after some time found ourselves in need of a contractor. He agreed and completed what turned out to be a 3-year renovation. His attention to detail was spot on and his willingness to see it through to the end was a comforting feeling. When all was said and done, he continued to follow up to make sure we were happy with the work. He genuinely cared. As mentioned above, his laugh was distinct and something tangible by which he will be remembered always. Rest eternal grant into him, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon him; may he rest in peace. Amen.

Liam and Shea, I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your father. In all of my years of coaching swimming, I don't think I ever saw a father cheer louder for his children. He would run up the pool deck all the way to the end of each lap. Wishing you both peace and comfort from your old coach.

Our memories of Joe will forever be in our thoughts!
